Is your surgeon Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery?

The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (www.aboms.org) is the ONLY certifying board for the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery in the United States, and is recognized and approved by the Council of Dental Education of the American Dental Association (www.ada.org). Not all board certifications have this elite distinction. Dr. Patel and Dr. Uribe have completed the certification process and are Board Certified. Dr. Sellers recently completed his residency training and has now qualified to commence the certification process. The certification process consists of two complex examinations that assures the public that certified oral surgeons have completed a rigorous peer evaluation process by requiring surgeons to present and maintain appropriate credentials, and demonstrate the requisite of training, experience, and knowledge. The examination topics include: wisdom teeth surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, anesthesia/sedation, pediatric surgery, orthodontics, temporomandibular joint disorders, trauma/emergency medicine, reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery, oral pathology, and management of complications.
